Family of 6 plus Grandparents spent a marvelous weekend together. The house was roomy. Nice to give all 4 kids their own bed. Well equipped kitchen. Oven a little small for a Turkey and sides but improvised with the gas grill. Loved the screen in back porch and fireplace. Our daughter loved fishing off of the private dock. Could use more lighting. We love to read and work puzzles and it was a bit dark.

We are a group of runners that have been going down for years to Kiawah to run in the Marathon/Half Marathon event held in December. We had not gone for the last few years so we decided to find a different home to rent. Over the years we have rented a variety of homes but none compare with 25 Marsh Cottage. Everyone in the group was delighted with the home and commented on how great and homey it was all weekend long. It was tastefully decorated and was equipped with everything we could possibly want or need. And the location was marvelous with marsh views on three sides and decks all around. It was only a shame that the weather wasn't better as we would have spent a lot more time outside. If our group goes to Kiawah again I am sure 25 Marsh Cottage will be at the top of our list to rent.

This house was home for 8 guys on a golf trip for a few days and we were very pleased with the accommodations. The house was very roomy with high ceilings and overall very clean. It had most of everything we needed and P.H. stocked us up with groceries before we arrived so we could get right to our vacation.

The only complaints we had were that there seemed to be a healthy amount of insects living with us in the house. Some of which I did not even recognize. Comes with living right on the marsh I suppose? Also, the entertainment needs updating, specifically the small television in the main room. Finally, a light outside by the grill would have been convenient as well.

Overall though, a great house in a SUPERB location. We were just minutes away from The Ocean Course and a couple of blocks from beach access and the multiple decks were a great gathering spot for just kicking it at the house. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and may even stay there again when I come back down to the island!

Make no mistake; this is a fantastic beach-house on Kiawah Island. It has a very warm look and feel that made all of us feel very comfortable and relaxed. We lacked nothing, but instead enjoyed having all of the amenities you would expect to find in your own home, even a gas grill on the rear deck. We do wish this house was a little bit closer to the beach (it is only about a 10 minute walk), but we would not trade the splendid, private Marsh view just to be a little bit closer. We will try to book this house again on our next trip to Kiawah.
