Very nice 4 Br/ 4 bath, 2900 sq.ft., private home in Vanderhorst Plantation, with wooded views. The kitchen, dining, and living areas are all very open. The living room has a nice television, vcr, high-speed internet, fireplace, and vaulted ceilings. The living area also has glass doors that lead to a large deck and the new pool. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a private bath and is located on the 2nd floor. All the rest of the bedrooms are on the 1st floor. The second bedroom has a queen bed, third bedroom has two double beds, and fourth bedroom has bunkbeds and one twin. All of the bedrooms have private baths. There is a gas grill and a charcoal grill for renters to use. Renters may only use the right side of the garage. No-smoking. This home is just a short walk to the beach.

This is an excellent property for a family vacation or for a couple of families. The location is perfectly situated with close beach access and easy bike rides or drives to the Sanctuary and East Beach Village. Even Freshfields is a quick 12 minute drive. The pool has a good deep-end for adults and a gradual ramp for kids to enter in the shallow-end. The well-supplied kitchen overlooks the great room and there is plenty of seating at the kitchen table and the dining room table. Two of the three first floor bedrooms have sliding door access to the large deck that overlooks the pool. The second-floor master bedroom suite is large and well designed with a balcony that overlooked the deck and pool. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with this property. It felt like home.

My family recently spent Thanksgiving at Kiawah Island. This property was perfect for our group. It is very close to the beach. It is on a dead end street which was great for the kids and bikeriding. Last, the pool and the hot tub were fantastic. We normally go to Kiawah during the summer so this was the first time on the Island in the fall. We hope to do it again next Thanksgiving.

We had 25 in two homes. 67 Forestay was ideal for the 5 children, ages 6,5,4,2-12's. The most outstanding thing was the pool. It was very kid friendly & also, older family members.

This house is near thhe beach, which means cheaper than one on the beach, but near enough that it's an easy walk. I found myself and the children going several timess a day just because it was such a short walk. It is also a great house for the kids: bikes, beach toys, beach chairs and games.
I had hoped to rent it again next year, but found out last Wednesday, 08/05/09, it was already taken for the week I need, 07/24/10 to 07/31/10, was already booked by someone else.

We loved our vacation at Kiawah. This was the second year we have stayed at 67 Forestay. The house is very nice, good layout, plenty of room and a great location. However, a couple of items need some attention. First, there was only one outside garbage can which was filled completely by the cleaning crew on Sat. Also, the house was not as clean (floors esp) as it should have been. The house in general is in need of a little sprucing up. Furniture needs replaced, as does some bedding (upstairs king mattress), fresh coat of paint would help, and carpet needs replaced. Screened porch would be great. Pool area is lovely. With a little TLC this place would be perfect!

Though black clouds & thunder showers were numerous this year during our stay at 67 Forestay Ct. in Kiawah (even a funnel cloud sighted one evening, which added to the excitement), our family had a blast! We were able to hike to the beach & retreat to the house when thunder rumbled. Our grands especially enjoyed the walk-in pool just steps away from the house. This beach rental property is well-equipped with children's toys/games/books and pool/beach articles. It is well-stocked with paper & cleaning supplies and is always clean when we arrive. However, for the past couple of years, there was not enough propane gas with the grill to use even once. This year after calling our realtor, a full tank was delivered the next day. Suggest checking the propane level before guests arrive to avoid the dilemma we faced. Tiny ants chased us away from the pool a couple of times and even invaded the house at the kitchen sink and upstairs bedroom sinks: Raid to the rescue! Each year we have been very pleased with the service & prompt response Pam Harrington Exclusives has provided. The home is an ideal beach get-away for our family, but we were disappointed with the general condition of the property as noted above compared to former years we've rented 67 Forestay: umbrellas missing from patio tables on deck; not as many lounge chairs at pool, some furniture showing excess use. In spite of these minor issues, we enjoyed another week at 67 Forestay, & we've reserved it again next year!

For the 4th year in a row, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 67 Forestay in Kiawah. the layout of the home is perfect for relaxing & spending time together as a family. The pool offers a refreshing respite from the beach & sand; our grands, ages 2 & 6,
especially loved the pool's features. One suggestion that we would make is to have the loose tiles around the pool repaired, safety hazard. We have always found Pam Harrington associates very professional & helpful. We look forward to spending another week

We have stayed at this property a few years ago and it looks like its showing its age. It needs to have some money put into it.
The insects at the pool made it impossible to sit by the pool without being bitten to death. They need pest control to come on a regular basis.

Great 4 BR house with fabulous pool and hot tub, perhaps a 200 yards walk to the beach. WiFi a definitely plus. A bit of a drive from the main gate, but this was accompanied by minimal beach traffic. Would definitely stay here again.
